Elwin Green

GREEN; ELWIN (1947-2017)

It's with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our brother, Elwin Green.  Elwin turned 69 years on December 23^rd, 2016.  It was around that time that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  He passed away on March 3^rd, 2017 at Chatham-Kent Hospice in Chatham, Ontario with his wife Wendy and his children close by.  He was comfortable, at peace and surrounded with love.

 

A celebration of his life took place in Chatham, on March 7^th 2017.  A second memorial will take place on Grand Manan for members of his family and his many island friends.  This will take place at St. Paul’s Hall, Grand Harbour, from 7:00-9:00 pm on Saturday, April 15^th 2017.  We will welcome the sharing of stories in remembrance of Elwin at that time.

 

Elwin is survived by his wife Wendy (nee Martin), one daughter Carolyn (Jamie), two sons Michael (Heather), Colin (Jessi), his step-children Sheila, Shelley (John), and Michael (Karen).  One sister Judy (John), three brothers,  DeVerne Jr. (Dale), Perley (Bonnie), Hallett (Connie) and many dearly loved grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

 

Edwin is pre deceased by his parents DeVerne Sr. and Doris Green.
