James Edward (Jimmie) Woodworth
1945-2020
Mr. James Edward Woodworth, of White Head Island, NB passed away at the Grand Manan Hospital, on Thursday, June 4th 2020, he was 75.
Jimmie was born in North Head, son of the late Charles and Ethel (Cossaboom) Woodworth. Jimmie was a carpenter by trade, and retired after 15 years from the Co-op Feed Mill in Moncton. After his retirement, he returned to White Head Island, and moved into the house where that grew up in. Jimmie and Glenda started camping in Coles Island in 1994, he loved spending his summers at teh trailer, going boating and fishing whenever he had a chance.
Jimmie is survived by his wife Glenda (Oakley) Woodworth of 52 years; daughter Heather (Mike) Gouchie of Salisbury West, NB; son James Alan (Heather) Woodworth of White Head Island, NB; three grandchildren Rebecca and Nicholas Gouchie and Hannah Hosford; three nieces, Brenda Fleet, Wendy Woodworth, Pamela Olsen; one great-niece Shawna Fleet; and two great-nephews, Darrin Carroll and Shane Fleet, and brother-in-law Derek Oakley of Moncton, NB.
James is predeceased by his parents, sister Rowena (Francis) Small; brother Harold (Mary) Woodworth.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 11:00 am in the White Head Cemetery, White Head Island.
Due to Covid-19 50 people are welcome at the service, physical distancing is required. A guestbook will be available and guests are asked to bring their own pen.
