Irma I. Ingersoll

Irma I. Ingersoll age 79 of Castalia, Grand Manan Island passed away at her residence Saturday July 26th, 2003, after a lengthy illness. Daughter of the late Jewett and Ila (Tidd) Guptill of Castalia, Irma was a member of the Castalia United Baptist Church, she was the Post Mistress for Castalia for many years and also worked in the Smoked Herring business.

She is survived by her four daughters Marianne Estabrooks, husband Tom of Connecticut USA, Janie Urquhart, husband Brian of Castalia, Andrea Whalen, husband Chris of Moncton, and Wendy Arsenault, husband Lou of Rothesay, also her two sons Barry Ingersoll, wife Roxie of Castalia and Mr. George K.C. Ingersoll, wife Sharon also of Castalia, seventeen Grand Children and fifteen Great Grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Kermin and her four brothers John, Waverley, Charles, and Vernon.

Visiting hours will be held at the Castalia United Baptist Church on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, from where the Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday July 29th, 2003 at 2 PM with Pastor Dennis Sisco officiating and Pastor Scott Lewis assisting, burial to take place in the family plot at Maple Grove Cemetery.
