Elizabeth (Betty) Foote

FOOTE; ELIZABETH ISABELLE GLADYS (BETTY) – (1935-2014) Mrs. Betty I.G. Foote of Seal Cove, Grand Manan Island, NB passed away at her home on Friday February 7, 2014.  Born in Seeleys Cove, she was the daughter of the late John and Edith (Carter) Bright. Betty grew up in Seeleys Cove, worked all her life in fish processing factories until her retirement. She had a strong faith and will be missed dearly by her family.  

Betty is survived by her husband Teddy Foote, two daughters, Edith Comeau of Grand Manan and Diane Foote of Montreal, two sons Jackie (Barbara) Foote and Donald Foote of Grand Manan, four grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Betty also has two sisters, Marion Henderson of Seeleys Cove and Helen Crawford of Saint John. 

Betty was predeceased by her parents, one infant son Alton, two sisters Eva MacVicor and Lois Campbell, six brothers, Thomas, Frank, Everett, Lawrence, Theodore and Louis.

Visiting will take place at Ells Funeral Home on Sunday 2 to 4 pm only. The funeral mass will take place from St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Monday February 10, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Fr. Rolando Suplido officiating. The family has requested donations to be made to the donor’s choice.
